Led by Jeff Bolt and coach Bryant Fong, this team competed in the 1st World Wushu Championships in Beijing, China. Andrew Hartono wins a silver medal in jianshu and David Ross wins a bronze medal in taijiquan, thus becoming the USA's first medalists at the WWC.

Organized by the USAWKF under Anthony Goh, this team competed in the 3rd World Wushu Championships in Baltimore, USA. Woody Wong wins a silver medal in qiangshu and a bronze medal in daoshu, Nathan Tong wings a bronze medal in daoshu, Nick Gracenin wins a bronze medal in taijiquan, Natalie Lu wins a silver medal in changquan, and Michelle Boutin wins a bronze medal in gunshu. Most of these victories were achieved because many taolu medals were shared because the sanda events only gave away gold medals.
